Jon Klancher’s New Book Explores the Transformation of the Arts and Sciences during the Romantic Era
Professor Jon Klancher’s has authored a new book out of Cambridge University Press, "Transfiguring the Arts and Sciences: Knowledge and Cultural Institutions in the Romantic Age." It offers an original study of the 18th and 19th centuries when new research and educational organizations reconstructed the idea of knowledge, revealing a more complicated history between the arts and sciences than previously thought.
