The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University is launching a Full-Time Accelerated MBA program, catering to professionals looking to build on their previous education in business. Students complete the on-campus program in three semesters instead of four to earn an MBA degree.

Students enrolled in the Full-Time Accelerated MBA program at the Tepper School will be in the same cohort with traditional Full-Time MBA students. They can expect a curriculum similar to the Full-Time MBA program, but those eligible for the accelerated program can waive introductory classes based on previous coursework.

The Full-Time Accelerated MBA kicks off with a refresher course in the first semester to ensure a comprehensive foundation in business functions. Students in the program will also tap into their 3-7 years of work experience to shape their MBA education.

The program will start in the fall, and students can choose a 12-month program or 16-month program if they opt for a summer internship. Furthermore, the same faculty who teach the Tepper School’s Full-Time MBA program will teach the Accelerated program.

“This Full-Time Accelerated MBA allows students to work through a world-class curriculum, and receive personalized leadership coaching while learning how to lead businesses in a global economy – in only three semesters," said Kate Barraclough, Associate Dean of Masters Programs at the Tepper School.

The program distinguishes itself with one-on-one leadership coaching designed to foster critical leadership skills such as empathy, awareness, and self-reflection. This shapes each student’s leadership potential, preparing them to manage people, build influential networks, inspire collaborative efforts, and execute goals.

Graduates of the MBA program enter the workforce with strong career outcomes, securing positions in consulting, technology, financial services, health care, consumer goods, manufacturing, and beyond. This versatility showcases the appeal of the Tepper School MBA graduates to employers.
