How it works
- The semester opens. Every section in the course schedule appears in the registry before classes begin.
- Instructors add syllabi. On the web or from Canvas, ideally by the first day of class. Department administrators can help with the rest.
- Anyone at CMU can look. Students see what a course expects, advisors compare courses, and departments see their coverage.
When to add it
Students look for syllabi as they choose and settle into their courses. The earlier yours is in, the more it helps. Thank you for sharing it!
Common questions
Who can see the syllabi?
Anyone with an Andrew ID. The course list is visible to everyone; sign in to view a syllabus.
Can I still use Canvas?
Yes. Open Syllabus Registry in your course menu and pick your Syllabus tab, a page, or a file.
How do I replace a syllabus?
Upload or select it again. The newest one replaces the old.
