Bio

Professor of Statistics, received his Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004. His research activities have focused on work addressing complex inference problems using novel, often computationally-intensive, statistical methods, primarily in the physical sciences. He is a part of the McWilliams Center for Cosmology and the Center for Computational Finance at CMU, and has held several leadership positions as part of efforts focused on enabling interdisciplinary research collaborations. He has published in the Journal of the American Statistical Association and the Astrophysical Journal, among others. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
