Work with a mentor from Quantbot and build a winning trading strategy with institutional financial data.
This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to have a job/internship in trading to gain experience and a potential job in the industry. It also will give you a great talking point for interviews and provide you with direct access to our industry sponsors! This competition has very limited spots and participants will be chosen through an application process which will be due by Sunday 2/9/2025. CMU Students, put your team (of 5-7) together and apply as a team, only the team lead will need to apply.

What Makes A Good Team?
Teams that have a mixed composition of skill sets in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Finance, Statistics, Business-Finance, and are good in Python and ML Toolkit.
What Prep will Occur Before The Event?
Once selected to participate, your team will be setup with access to the CWIQ Platform from Code Willing so you can become familiar with the technology and complete the training videos ahead of the event. After onboarding with the platform, you will also have the opportunity to begin developing strategy with your mentor from Quantbot Technologies to prepare for the day-of competition. There will be one or two remote onboarding meetings before the in-person event to ensure teams are ready for the competition.
