Metro21 featured in Atlanta Business Chronicle following May visit

Metro21’s Executive Director Karen Lightman is featured in the Saporta Report, Atlanta’s Business Chronicle, following a visit from Atlanta’s Regional Commission this May. The commission, made up of roughly 100 metro leaders, sought to learn more about Pittsburgh’s unique approach to smart city developments with equity and inclusion projects. Metro21 was featured as one of the benefits of partnership between universities and the city of Pittsburgh. Karen was quoted, saying “The equity lens needs to be present. It’s the intersection of technology and humanity.” Over the 3-day visit, leaders learned about the projects from Metro21 and Pittsburgh more broadly. Read more here.
