Tepper Hosts Annual Hackathon

Tepper hosted the 2022 Global Challenges Hackathon, posing the challenge of "Creating Inclusive and Sustainable Cities."

During this hackathon-styled competition, small teams of students worked intensively on a common and narrowly defined global problem that integrates business and economic reasoning as well as data analytics tools learned at CMU.

Metro21 Executive Director Karen Lightman helped judge the presentations and named the project "Housing Cost Smoothing and Income-Based Repayment" the first place winner of the competition, with a prize of $1,500.
