Preparing for remote work
Equipment check
- Laptop with built-in camera
- or Desktop with built-in or attached web camera
- If you are in need of equipment, contact MCS Tech Serv. NOTE: supplies are limited.
Network check if teaching from home
- Test your home network speed and ensure you are getting the speeds advertised by your ISP.
- Contact your local ISP if you are having connection issues.
Software check
- Install the following software or join the following services before you have to use it. Familiarize yourself with the software or service. At minimum, we recommend you install Zoom.
- Zoom
- VPN (Virtual Private Network) - Zoom does not require a VPN
