How is it Funded?

Funding for BilbioTech Labs projects is used to purchase equipment to complete the selected technology challenge. This funding can come from a number of sources including the University Libraries or the faculty advisor's resarch funds. Student Researchers are strongly encouraged to apply for other sources of research funding such as the Small Undergraduate Research Grants (SURGs) through the CMU Undergraduate Research Office, and other similar programs that might be offered by individual departments or programs.

BiblioTech Labs recently received funding from the Berkman Faculty Development Fund to help fund equipment costs for projects from Fall 2013 through Spring 2015. Through this program, each student researcher will have up to $750 available for equipment purchases.
