Here are some commonly asked questions about LEAP.
How can I apply to LEAP?
Currently, all of our students are selected from and by City Charter High School. We are not currently accepting applications from students from other high schools. We hope to expand the program in the future so if you're interested in getting your students involved with LEAP, please reach out to our Program Director, Sarah Ceurvorst.
Is LEAP a summer program?
No, LEAP is a year-round program that includes an intensive week-long academy in December and monthly gatherings throughout the year.
How do I get to LEAP?
Students are given bus passes to attend LEAP workshops. The vast majority of LEAP workshops are held on CMU's campus. About twice a year, workshops are held elsewhere around the city (i.e. Phipps Conservatory).
How much time does LEAP take?
Students come to workshops on CMU's campus 1-3 times a month. Each workshop lasts between 4-6 hours. In December, students come to campus 5 days in a row for our December Intensive.
