Linton C. Freeman, founding editor of
Social Networks, pioneer in the area
of Social Network Analysis, and a contributor to this field whose
centrality is unmatched, was honored at the twentieth annual INSNA
conference in 2000 with a festschrift. Contributions to this festschrift
are under peer review and if accepted will be published subsequently either
in a special issue of
Social Networks or in
JoSS. As these articles are
published, they will be listed here in this special section of
JoSS (with
an indication of whether they appear in
Social Networks or
JoSS itself).
