Education Analytics & Disruption:

How artificial intelligence, data analytics and machine learning tools can improve equity and access for everyone

Empty lecture hallEducation is in the midst of transition. Much as streaming services allowed customers to personalize their viewing experience – and disrupted the status quo for the entertainment industry – online education has the potential to do the same for the traditional delivery of education.

The Initiative for Teaching & Education Analytics (iTEA) at Carnegie Mellon University conducts research that uses artificial intelligence, data analytics and machine learning to analyze how students learn and then applies its findings to shape online education to fit the unique learning needs of each student. We help educators customize the way material is presented so they can optimize delivery for the individual learner.

Our findings have the potential to transform education, making it more accessible and equitable for all kinds of learners, everywhere.
