Executive Summaries

When readers want you to communicate your findings in a clear, no-nonsense way, the executive summary is the first place they look. However, most executive summary readers are busy and do not often have a nuanced understanding of your research field. This can be a problem! Luckily, we can teach you strategies to help solve this problem, including:

  • How to tailor your message to your audience
  • How to compact complex content into a one-page summary

If you're ready to start, you can view our video on executive summary writing for engineers (something easily applicable to other fields too). We also have a couple examples of executive summaries for you to reference; the "A" is the before version and the "B" after.
