Welcome to the CMU Flow Cytometry Core at the MBIC

The Flow Core Currently has a BD FacsVantage equipped with 5 lasers and 8 detectors as well as an Accuri Flow Cytometer Analyzer Connected to an Intellicyt Hypercyt robotic system cappable of running a 96 well plate through the Accuri in just 5 minutes.

Users are welcome to run experiments or sorts that comply with the posted guidelines.

The FacsVantage can sort rare cell types at a speed of about 20000 cells per second. The 5 laser colors are 405, 488, 532, 635 and 730.There are 2 fluorescent microscopes on site to assist with your research.
