If you disagree with the changes to these Terms of Service, you should discontinue your use of the Service.

Registration and Authorized Use. You are eligible to register for and use My Plaid Student only if you received a valid email invitation inviting you to register for My Plaid Student ("Email Invitation"). By registering, you acknowledge that you received such an Email Invitation from a current Carnegie Mellon student known to you and from whom you were expecting a My Plaid Student invitation. You further acknowledge that you are the intended recipient of the Email Invitation and that you are an authorized user of the email account to which the Email Invitation was sent.

When registering for My Plaid Student you will be asked to identify a personal account with a Third-Party Identity Provider (e.g. Google, Facebook, Friends of CMU, etc.) whose username, password and other credentials you will use to access certain websites through the Service. For example, if you select Google during the My Plaid Student registration process, you will be able access certain secure websites through the Service only when you are properly logged into your Google account.

Multi-Factor Authentication. You agree to enable multi-factor authentication on your Third-Party Identity Provider account whenever it is an available feature on your account. If you established a Friends of CMU account, you are strongly encouraged to enable multi-factor authentication on the personal email account associated with your Friends of CMU account whenever it is an available feature from your relevant email provider.

Account Security. You understand and agree that it is your responsibility to maintain the security of the username, password, and other credentials that you use to access your account with the Third-Party Identity Provider and any websites. You agree that you will not provide your Third-Party Identity Provider username, password, and other credentials to any other person. You acknowledge that anyone who obtains your Third-Party Identity Provider username, password or other credentials will be able to access any Service websites and records that you were authorized to access through Cirrus Identity.

Notification of Compromise. If you believe your access credentials have been compromised, please contact your Third-Party Identity Provider to address the security of your credentials and also notify the Carnegie Mellon student who requested that you be sent an Email Invitation, as your My Plaid Student account may need to have its access revoked. We ask you also notify the Carnegie Mellon Help Center by calling +1-412-268-4357 and/or sending an email to it-help@cmu.edu with a Subject of "Compromised Account for My Plaid Student".

Termination/Revocation. Carnegie Mellon reserves the right to revoke your My Plaid Student access for any reason. In particular, Carnegie Mellon reserves the right to revoke your My Plaid Student access if Carnegie Mellon has reason to believe that the Third-Party username, password, or other credentials that you use for My Plaid Student have been compromised.

Therefore, use of the Service may not be available to all persons or entities or in all jurisdictions. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, Carnegie Mellon shall not be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages or for loss of profits or other intangible losses (even if Carnegie Mellon has been advised of the possibility of such damages) that result from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Miscellaneous. These Terms of Service constitute your entire agreement with Carnegie Mellon regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written between you and Carnegie Mellon with respect to them.
