Faculty Course Evaluations are Open for Feedback (1st Message)
Dear [Faculty First Name],
The Faculty Course Evaluation (FCE) site is open for [Mini] [Semester] [Year] course evaluations. The FCE system, administered by SmartEvals, will automatically send email updates regarding your response rate every three to four days as well as send email reminders to all students who have not completed any evaluation.
You are welcome to login to the FCE system (SmartEvals) to monitor your course response rates, create a QR code or email reminders to your students during this deployment. Due to confidentiality and anonymity requirements, the system does not provide identifiable student information.
MyEval Center page displays all of your courses that are being evaluated or were evaluated in the past. This page displays the survey tool, course/section, total students, responses, no responses, evaluation start and end dates, and response rate. From this page, there are two functions if you choose to act on them:
- Create QR codes. Faculty can generate the QR code from MyEval Center prior to class time and distribute the code to students (either print or display). Students complete the course FCE in class by scanning the QR code with their mobile device. The QR code expires three hours after activation. Students also have the opportunity to complete the course evaluation anytime outside of class as well on either mobile or laptop devices.
- Send email reminders from this site directly. Email can be sent once or auto sent on a certain number of days. Note: Email for team-taught courses can only have one faculty member sending email.
Schoolwide Results allows you to search and view prior semester FCE scores across colleges and locations.
Survey Results displays your evaluation question scores in a linear view. By choosing the blue Reports hyperlink, the results display the scores/comments or individual evaluation scores. These scores can be downloaded in excel format. Note: Results are not posted until after the final grading period ends.
