Professional Development Opportunities

We strive to promote lifelong learning for early childhood educators, administrators and those who are affiliated with the early childhood profession. We offer a series of professional development opportunities to support the understanding of the philosophy and principles of the Reggio Emilia approach. These events include tours for small groups, observations for students, and our annual Visitation Day.

Tours

Please note that we are not currently scheduling tours or visits for the 2023–24 program year due to our ongoing expansion.

Opportunities for small groups to visit our school for a half-day tour and observation are available from October through March. Tours include an overview of our school and philosophy, a guided tour of the center environment, and the opportunity for questions and discussion. Tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and can be arranged by sending an email request. Evening and weekend tours for larger groups can also be arranged. Please inquire for rates.

Student Observations

The Cyert Center offers the chance to complete observation hours for coursework to students from colleges and universities in the Pittsburgh area. Please send us a request with more information about your studies, age group of interest, and what you're looking to observe at least two weeks in advance.
