Deep spectra of distant galaxies

​I will introduce the Large Early Galaxy Astrophysics Census (LEGA-C) survey, an ultradeep spectroscopic survey of massive galaxies at a lookback time of ~half the age of the Universe. The talk will focus on the data quality and on-going modeling efforts with a few scientific highlights. Then I will suggest some potential directions that could be interesting for future statistical/data-driven collaborative projects.
