Noah Levin knows firsthand the hurdles involved in overcoming Greek life stereotypes. Carnegie Mellon’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter was struggling, there was even talk of closure. But Levin rallied his brothers to realign the organization with their core values, focusing on cultivating campus leaders and improving community relations. As a result, the fraternity is in good standing, and Levin (HS’10, CS’11) was named—from among more than 10,000 applicants nationwide—the Sigma Alpha Epsilon 2011 True Gentleman of the Year.
