If you want to know something about monetary policy, you don’t need to make a trip to the nation’s capital. Just ask Allan Meltzer. A Tepper professor of political economy and public policy, he has taught at the university since 1957 and is recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on the Federal Reserve and monetary policy. Now he can add another honor to his résumé—recipient of a 2011 Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation prize of $250,000 for excellence in his field.
