Students, faculty, and alumni have a vested interest in Charles Kennedy’s job performance. After a national search, he was selected to succeed Ed Grefenstette (TPR’98) as chief investment officer of Carnegie Mellon. Kennedy has served as interim CIO since Grefenstette’s 2010 departure to become CIO of The Dietrich Charitable Trusts. Kennedy’s business background includes investment banking and graduate business school teaching. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
