Meeting society's current needs without compromising future generations' ability to do the same thing—that's the issue at the heart of sustainability. It's also what a team of 30 Carnegie Mellon students researched in their paper, "It's Not Easy Being Green: Assessments and Strategies for Sustainable Institutions," which won an honorable mention from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. The university's paper was featured in a recent edition of Sustainability: The Journal of Record.
