Outreach Programs

CPS Program Outreach

The CPS and Chemical Engineering faculty, staff, and students are involved in a number of annual programs that reach out to K-12 students and the public to promote awareness  about engineering and science as well as to encourage talented young people to consider these fields for their future careers. More than 2500 students participate annually in these activities.  Presentations include lectures, workshops, and hands-on activities relating to colloids and polymers with topics such as cosmetics, toys, and food.  A list of current programs is given below. They also provide support to other faculty and staff members who seek content and assistance with their own outreach activities.
