NIRS screening tool
Our group uses NIRS as a tool to screen small vessel oxygenation and blood flow changes in adults living with sickle cell disease.

Joel receives ASH fellowship
👏 Congratulations to Joel Disu for being selected by American Society of Hematology to receive the HIP Graduate Student Award, part of ASH’s investment in research and emerging leaders! This award program provides the opportunity to conduct a research project in the field of academic hematology under the supervision of a research mentor.

Lara becomes a 2025 Presidential fellowship
Lara Abdelmohsen, Presidential Fellowship in the College of Engineering. Lara conducts patient-specific, MRI-informed simulations to model cerebral blood flow in individuals with sickle cell disease.
