Wood Neuro Research Group

The Wood Neuro Research Group is an innovative group whose research interests are invested in using biomedical engineering devices to address large-scale social injustices in healthcare. These issues include the marginalization of minorities in medical research and healthcare as a whole as well as treatment for patients with rare diseases. We are home to the departments of Biomedical Engineering, and we have affiliations with the departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Neuroscience Institute.  We are located at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh campus, and led by the inspiring Professor Sossena Wood.
