Carnegie Mellon University

Financial Support and Teaching Experience

Students accepted into the program will be provided financial support, including tuition and a stipend, for three and possibly additional years. In their first year in the program, students will concentrate on their coursework and research. In subsequent years they will work as research or teaching assistants. Each student will receive at least two semesters of teaching experience as a teaching assistant or assistant instructor, typically in courses on entrepreneurship and firm strategy. Through its Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence, Carnegie Mellon is committed to training graduate students as teachers and helping them develop a teaching portfolio.
