Welcome to Carnegie Mellon University's Finance Division. Our comprehensive service-oriented team is dedicated to providing financial management and strategies, decision support and solutions to facilitate the advancement of our university.
As a service organization within Carnegie Mellon, we have both internal and external customers. In making decisions and implementing solutions, we have created various groups to gain both understanding and feedback from members of the campus community.
Administrative Leadership Group (ALG) is comprised of at least one representative from each college/school and administrative division (appointed by the respective Dean/VP). This group meets monthly to discuss pending and current financial and administrative issues and challenges, improve communications, and promote joint problem solving. Website access is restricted to ALG members only.
PARTNER Groups exist for each major functional area within the finance division. PARTNER groups bring together staff from our functional areas with a cross-section of our campus representatives. Our goal for the groups is "working together for better solutions." Solutions developed are shared and reviewed with the ALG in monthly meetings, reviewed in our monthly Finance Bulletin, and communicated to the broader campus community via our quarterly PARTNER Forum (beginning this fall).
Effective communication is a vital component of our relationship with our community. A key component of our strategy is the publication of the Finance Bulletin, a monthly information sharing newsletter.
