Bio
I first entered the TESOL field for purely selfish reasons: I wanted to study English for my undergraduate degree, and I wanted to live and work abroad. Teaching English would allow me to do both. Little did I know that it would become the driving passion of my life. So far, I have taught adults and children from five continents. While studying Korean independently to prepare for my time abroad, I noticed consistent patterns in the syntax, which made it easier for me to learn. In my time teaching English to speakers of other languages, I developed a methodology for teaching grammar that focuses on pattern. My research focuses on expanding and exploring the connection between grammar and pattern as it relates to language acquisition.
