Faculty and Staff Parking Information

In order to accommodate the many guests coming to campus for Commencement, the following adjustments will be made to parking for faculty and staff during the weekend. Please plan accordingly. 

Parking Information by Day

Friday, May 10 
Faculty and staff with parking permits will have access to their lots. 

Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12

All faculty and staff (including those that have permit parking) are asked to park in either Gates Garage or the S. Neville lot. No parking fees will apply for you at those lots. All other campus lots are reserved for commencement guests with prepaid parking. If you have any concerns, please contact Transportation Services at transportation@andrew.cmu.edu.

Directions to Gates Garage and South Neville lot

• Travel on Fifth Avenue in either direction, then turn downhill on South Neville Street toward campus.
• To access Gates Garage: Turn left before the train tracks onto Hamerschlag Drive toward the CIC Garage. Stay to the right, and don ot enter the gated area of CIC (travel through the overpass). Follow Hamerschlag Drive to the left up toward Doherty Hall, then turn left into Gates Garage.
• To access South Nevill lot: Continue down South Neville Street and Cross the railroad tracks. Turn left into the fenced South Neville surface lot.

Please also note vehicular access will be restricted on Sunday, May 12 from 7:30 to 11 a.m.:

• Morewood Avenue closed between Forbes and Fifth Avenues
• Forbes Avenue closed between Craig and Beeler Streets
