Metro21 Executive Director Discusses Pittsburgh Mobility Platform

Metro21 Executive Director Karen Lightman recently spoke with GCN to discuss the recently launched Move PGH initiative and the infrastructure required to make the program successful.  She also discussed both parts of the program - Transit App and mobility hubs - and how researchers were able to determine the shortfalls of transportation in and around the city of Pittsburgh. 

“At Metro21, our philosophy is using technology as a tool to help people solve real-world problems in collaboration with municipal and equity partners,” Lightman said. “It is not just a Pittsburgh problem, and we think this has a lot of exciting replicability towards other cities.”
