Connecting Public Servants Around the World - A Virtual Workshop

You’re invited to attend “Connecting Public Servants around the World,” a virtual workshop with Apolitical, on January 12, 2021, at 12 p.m. EST. The event will feature Lisa Witter, the co-founder and executive chairperson and Nitika Agarwal, chief operating officer of Apolitical—both former public servants.

Apolitical is a global learning network for government. Think LinkedIn (network and short courses) meets Wikipedia (crowd sourced knowledge) for the public sector, powered by the company’s unique dataset, the GovGraph. Members find inspiration and solve problems by exploring the world’s largest policy database created by people working in government. They advance their careers by sharing their work and by taking short online courses on critical topics in government. And they build their networks by connecting with peers around the world. Apolitical is used by more than 100,000 verified public servants in 170 countries. Its members range from mayors, ministers, and heads of departments to millennials driving digital transformation.

In this discussion, you will hear results of research on how public servants want to learn, cross-cultural lessons from Apolitical’s experience building networks and training public servants around the globe (both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic), how to do affordable upskilling at scale, and ways you can leverage the platform to complement your work.
