Anthony Haynes

Bio

Anthony Haynes is a first-year Heinz College student in the MSPPM-DC program. Professionally, Anthony serves as an Army aviation officer, having previously obtained his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at the United States Military Academy – West Point.

His research and policy interests span human and environmental security, civil-military affairs, equitable development practice, community resilience, and socio-technical systems. Anthony is particularly focused on merging these fields to address the root causes of conflict, guiding the design of holistic policy solutions and the development of integrative institutions.

Anthony became an editor for the Heinz Journal to engage more deeply with the work of other students and experts in fields of interest, as well as to both develop understanding and create opportunities for collaboration.
