Mimi Wertheimer joined the Leonard Gelfand Center for Service Learning and Outreach in the Fall of 2019 as Program Administrator and LGC Tutor Coordinator, before moving into her current position in Fall of 2022. She has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Chatham University (K-6) and has working in Public, Private, and Charter schools, teaching everything from Early Childhood Education to Middle School English Language Arts. In addition to work as a teacher, Mimi has worked as a tutoring administrator in the Pittsburgh region; specializing in English and History K-12, executive functioning skills, tutor hiring and training, and curriculum development.
