Bio
Andy joined Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in 2025 and serves as assistant vice president of Procurement and Payments. In his role, Andy provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for both procurement and accounts payable. He leads this combined team in acquiring and paying for goods and services efficiently, responsibly, and in furtherance of CMU's mission.
Prior to his current role, Andy was the Director of Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Facilities at Essential Utilities. Over his 14-year tenure, he led major organizational transformations across procurement and facilities, and successfully implemented an enterprise-wide ERP system to support a cohesive procure-to-pay model. He also played a key leadership role in guiding their transition to standarized enterprise operations. Prior to that, Andy helpd supply chain leadership roles at Peoples Natural Gas, where he led strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, contract negotiations, and process improvements that drove measurable operational and financial impact.
Education
Andy holds a bachelor's of science degree in biology, with a minor in business administration from Grove City College.
