Current Space Data and Analytics
To view quarterly space data from FY25 onward, faculty and staff can visit CMU's Data Analytics Sharing Hub (DASH) for self-service dashboards showing how our physical space is allocated and used across campus. Once in DASH:
- Search by keywords "space" or "ESIM" or select "Financial, Budget and Campus Operations" in the Category dropdown filter
- Choose one of the ESIM Space dashboards:
- tabular format, which can be downloaded to Excel for futher analysis
For help integrating the live data into your systems, please submit an ESIM Support Request. To request student access to the DASH reports to support a research project, please submit an Research Support Consultation Request.

Historical Fiscal Year Space Archives
These archives provide information about building net square footage from fiscal years 1999 through FY23. Information from previous fiscal years can be provided, depending on your needs. For requests or further assistance, submit a Custom Historical Data Request.
