Spam Filtering Options
Our campus email system automatically identifies some spam through certain characteristics (e.g., information in the "Subject" and "From" line of the message) and gives you options for handling spam. To ensure spam is properly filtered, follow these steps:
- Visit emailtools.cmu.edu, if you haven't already done so, and set your Spam Settings.
- Turn OFF Client Junk Mail Filtering; to do so, follow the appropriate link below:
- You can also create block and allow lists through your email client. To do so, follow the appropriate link below:
If you are receiving spam and your spam filter options are configured, follow the steps on the Report Spam page.
