Placemaking

At the core of our campus infrastructure efforts is the feedback of our community. The people who live, work and play in our space will create a space that benefits our culture.

Inherent in this belief is the practice of placemaking.

Placemaking inspires people to reimagine and reinvent public spaces. "Place" is a space with meaning and purpose that strengthens its connection to people. Effective placemaking promotes community participation, assets, inspiration and potential. These public spaces also foster social networks, social capital and individual wellbeing.

The Task Force is coordinating several initiatives that emphasize these principles as a means for change.
