International Visitors

Several high-ranking international officials visited campus this summer to tour university facilities and learn more about some of Carnegie Mellon's academic and research programs. In the top photo, Associate Vice President for University Advancement Kyle Fisher Morabito welcomes Lu Fuyuan, vice minister of education for the People's Republic of China. At left, Pradeep Khosla (far right), head of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, shows Lalit Mansingh, the Indian ambassador to the United States, a control panel for a modular robot designed for military rescue missions and space research. At right, Andile Ngeaba, the South African director general of communications, talks with Provost Mark Kamlet (left) and Professor Paul Goodman. Ngeaba was on campus attending the graduation ceremony for 30 South African students who earned a master's degree in information technology.
