Supporting Students’ Minds, Bodies and Spirits
In November 2019, Carnegie Mellon University and Highmark Health announced a $35 million lead gift from Highmark Inc. to support the construction of the Highmark Center for Health, Wellness and Athletics. The gift served as an expansion of Highmark Health’s longstanding relationship with CMU and its commitment to investing in the western Pennsylvania region.
The Highmark Center opened its doors in fall 2024.
See what makes it a destination for holistic well-being:
It creates a healthy community.
The 160,000-square-foot building includes a dedicated space for comprehensive, wrap-around care. From a new and expanded University Health Services clinic to a new facility for counseling services, each space was intentionally designed to give students the support they need to be their best from the inside out.
