Seeking Your Input on Professional Development Opportunities

Human Resources' Learning and Development will be introducing new programs and resources for staff starting this fall and is gathering input through an online survey. The Office of Institutional Research and Analysis recently e-mailed an invitation to all Pittsburgh campus staff with a link to the survey to gather preferences for professional development opportunities. All staff who did not participate will receive a reminder email with a new survey link early next week.

A summary report of the results will be posted on the Human Resources website this summer.

FMS Now Activating Cooling Systems

With the approach of warmer temperatures, FMS personnel have started to activate the campus cooling systems. Academic and administrative buildings have started to switch to cooling modes and all systems should be up and running by Wednesday, May 1. The Scott Hall project has impact on the cooling capacity for main campus. Due to design, once Warner Hall's heating system is activated the air conditioning cannot be turned back on. FMS will check the extended forecast before making that transition. For more information, contact Kyle Tomer at 412-268-6332 or kt2n@andrew.cmu.edu.
