Student Reading Series

Student readings are held monthly in the Gladys Schmitt Creative Writing Center. The highlight of the Student Reading Series is the annual Senior Reading, in which all graduating creative writing majors read their work. Please contact Yona Harvey for more details.

Alumni Speaker Series

Every year, the creative writing program invites a distinguished alumnus to speak about his or her writing career with current students. As part of this event, we also present the Gladys Schmitt Scholarship to a student who contributes the most to the program, both in and out of the classroom.

Visiting Writers Series

Below is a past sample poster for the Visiting Writers Series. For a complete listing of our English Department Speaker Series, please see our Speaker Series page.
