Financial aid application instructions

Instructions for applying for federal financial aid for the 2013-2014 academic year are now available. View undergraduate or graduate student instructions. Please note the instructions for undergraduate students are for enrolled students only. Prospective students not yet enrolled at Carnegie Mellon should contact the Office of Admission for financial aid matters. 


Do you qualify for education tax benefits?

The federal government provides a number of tax incentives that can help lower the cost of higher eduction, including tax credits and deductions. View more information, including eligibility requirements. 


Graduate student department funding

If you have been offered funding from your department, it may not always appear on your award letter. Once your department credits your student account, your federal student loan eligibility will be adjusted.
