Installing Maple
Follow the instructions for your operating system.
For Windows
- To install Maple, you must have administrator access to the computer.
- Download the application file.
- Right-click on the zipped file and select Extract All.
- Locate and double-click \windows\Disk1\InstData\VM\Maple12WindowsInstaller.exe
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- When prompted, select "single-user profile".
- When prompted, enter the purchase code and fill in the required information to complete activation.
Note: Read the essential installation information contained in the Maple12_install_info doc. This file also contains the registration code you will need to activate the software.
For MacOS 10.4.4 or Higher (Intel Platform Macs)
- To install Maple, you must have administrator access to the computer.
- Download the Maple12.dmg file.
- Double-click on Maple12MacInstaller file to open it (located in the Mac OS X folder).
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Click the lock icon and enter the administrative password for your computer.
- When prompted, select "single-user profile".
- The first time you start the program, you will be asked to enter a purchase code and required information to complete the activation. The purchase code is included in the files that you downloaded; file name is maple12_install_info.
- If you activated successfully, you are ready to use Maple 12.
For MacOS 10.3.9 or Higher (non-Intel Platform Macs)
- Download the Maple11PPCMacInstaller.zip file.
- Double-click on the downloaded file to open it.
- Double-click the Maple11PPCMacInstaller.mpkg file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the "Easy Install" panel.
- On the "Easy Install" panel, click "Customize".
- When prompted, select "single-user profile".
- The first time you start the program, you will be asked to enter a purchase code. Enter the purchase code that was displayed when you downloaded the installer.
