Visit Opportunities for Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Carnegie Mellon University and the School of Music!

Through the month of April there are a variety of opportunities for Accepted students to visit CMU and the School of Music.  

In Person School of Music Tour and Information Session - Fridays through April at 1:00 PM.  Please follow the link to register.

Virtual Information Sessions - Thursdays through April at 1:00 PM (EST) via Zoom.  Please follow the link to register.

The Office of Undergraduate Admission will be hosting a variety of Turn Tartan Events for Admitted Undergraduate Students. Visit your "Where Am I in the Process" Portal for dates and registration.

Individual visits (virtual or in-person) may be available by appointment, based on staff availability.  Email music-admissions@andrew.cmu.edu to inquire.

During this time of the year there are a number of concerts, recitals, and events hosted by the School of Music.  If there is a recital or performance that coencides with your visits let us know and we can make arrangements for tickets for you to attend.

For Accepted Graduate Students the Office of Music Admission will have Walk-In Office Hours on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:00 - 3:00.

Please Note: The University will be closed for Spring Break March 2 - 10 and Spring Carnival April 11 - 13.

Once you have registered more information will be sent via email. Please also review the CMU Visitor Protocols prior to your visit. 

The Undergraduate Admission office is also offering in-person campus tours.  Those wishing a full campus tour may schedule through the Office of Undergraduate Admission or register for an in-person information session or campus tour. 

The Virtual Visits and In Person Tours are focused primarily toward undergraduate prospects, applicants, and accepted students.  If you are a graduate prospect please feel free to register for one of the Virtual Visits or In Person Tours, however, if you are interested in scheduling an individual appointment with a member of our staff, please contact us directly at music-admissions@andrew.cmu.edu. We can offer Zoom or other types of appointments, and will confirm with you directly.
