Food for seminars: We will have approximately 7 seminars per semester (14 total) with students talks about their research in relevant fields. We will spend $200 per seminar for pizza / sandwiches for the audience. We expect 20-30 people per seminar. Estimates are based on costs from the Math Dept Graduate Student Seminar.

The JFC will fund $100 per semester for food for rush/recruitment, $200 per semester for food at events, $5 per person per semester for food for general body meetings, and $15 per person per event for food at a cultural event, at a cap to 2 events.

Math Modeling Competition: Entrance fee for the math modeling competition sponsored by SIAM. The fee for 2014 was $100 per team of 3 undergraduate students, and we would like to have two teams. The competition is a three day period in which the team is given a challenging modeling problem and they devise a solution.
