Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) at Carnegie Mellon sponsors participation, education and innovation in the Engineering, Design and Business fields. SAE teaches students skills beyond their rigorous curriculum at Carnegie Mellon by providing them with practical experience and an integration with industry. SAE works as a team to design, build and race a formula race car in the Formula SAE Michigan competition each year.
