Nora's decision to pursue an additional major in Environmental and Sustainable Studies has greatly enhanced her Architecture studies, as she hopes to one day work in regenerative design and passive housing. By taking an interdisciplinary approach, she has engaged in more critical discussions of the role an architect can play and the many conditions that shape a successful project, including the social impact, as she explored in the class, "Environmental Racism, Injustice, & Unfreedom: Lessons for Architecture", taught by Nida Rehman and Morgan Newman. Nora has gained a lot of insight through these courses that she has carried back to her architecture projects, ensuring that a positive environmental and social response be a top priority. As she concludes her studies here at Carnegie Mellon, she plans to further her education in a masters program focused on sustainable and dynamic architecture.
