SPARCS Tips

Following are this week's tips which will help navigate these changes - 

• COMPLIANCE: A quick reminder that the way compliance is handled on proposals has changed. The Compliance Smartform is no longer a part of the SPARCS Funding Proposals. Instead, there is now a new activity Add Compliance (Editors and Approvers). Research Administrators can use this to record known compliance issues, but it is not required. The OSP Specialists will also be able to indicate if they see compliance issues. These indications will still display on the funding proposal workspace. Please note that any compliance that is indicated on the application to the sponsor will be addressed at the time an award is being processed.
  
• PI Assurance Statements: Because the way compliance is now handled for proposals, the language in the PI Assurance Statements have also been updated. Please remember that a PI Assurance Statement is needed for all SPARCS funding proposals.
