On Thursday, October 17, the Congress was organized into
five Theme Workshops to more deeply examine post-industrial cities.
Delegates had the opportunity to discuss the future of post-industrial
cities from the perspective of one assigned theme.

than 300 urbanists from North America and Europe convened on the future
of post-industrial cities. The Congress was held in Pittsburgh,
renowned for its 25-year transformation from an industrial economy to a
knowledge economy.
