Task Force on the CMU Experience

In an email to campus on April 20, 2016, CMU leadership convened an internal campus-wide task force to closely examine the Carnegie Mellon University experience and develop recommendations to enhance this community for students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The Task Force works in parallel with the President’s Advisory Board for the CMU Experience, an external consulting body comprised of distinguished professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds. A total of 30 faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and senior administrators to serve as members of the task force, with an additional 70+ members of the campus community engaged in initiative teams related to health and wellness, academic policies, and faculty & staff development.

In year one the Task Force implemented several short terms wins for the campus community, and established plans for long term projects. To read more about the progress of the Task Force and upcoming goals for year two, the Presidential Report for 2017 can be accessed here.
